Lower Kilcott Valley hasn’t changed for hundreds of years. It’s an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Cotswold Way runs through the valley, from Hillesley to Hawkesbury, as does the Monarch’s Way.

Lower Kilcott Farm has been in the Thompson family for six generations since the early 1800s. The farm itself has been operational since the 1600s and had a working flour mill until the 1950s when the mill was pulled down. There is still a small part remaining by the fishing lake. Like most farms, they have had to diversify over the years. Today, they are mainly an arable farm, although they still have chickens, a few pigs, and alpacas.

You may have seen them on TV when they were featured on Countryfile in October 2022.

Our spacious double room boasts a modern en-suite with a toilet and shower. You will have the best night’s sleep in a comfy king-size bed. The room includes tea and coffee making facilities, a large wall-mounted smart TV, a hairdryer, and free WiFi. A washing and ironing service is available on request.

The farmhouse has ample off-road parking and a large garden. Guests have access to the hot tub, pool table, and hammock. In the summer, Mel serves homemade afternoon tea in the garden, which must be pre-booked.

The farm's well-stocked carp fishing lake is available to use all year round for only £10 per day. Please call ahead to check availability.

Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome, with their own shower downstairs.

A warm welcome awaits you from Mel and Steve
